Kylie Fleming’s Candidate Statement
Dear Mr. Angelli,
I gratefully accept the nomination to run for the office of Secretary of the New Hampshire Athletic Training Association (NHATA). As an NHATA officer I hope to guide open and honest communication among the Athletic Trainers in New Hampshire.
It is very important to me that we bridge the gap from the past to the future. My young energy and ability to adapt can bring new ideas to the table. While completing my undergraduate degree at West Virginia University, I served as Co-Chair of the Dean’s Student Advisory Board for the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (CPASS). During my time on this board, I served as the voice between the students and the administration. My other duties included scheduling board meetings, fundraising, organizing events for students, and speaking at CPASS commencement.
In addition, I completed my master’s degree at Florida State University with the #1 Sport Management program in the country. There I helped to create social media and online content to promote our Athletic Training program and the health and wellbeing of our athletes.
In my current position, I organize and maintain schedules for all full-time and per diem employees. This requires consistent communication with each Certified Athletic Trainer that we employ. My goal as NHATA Secretary is to keep lines of communication and organization open to help prepare the State of New Hampshire for the future of Athletic Training.
