NHATA Committee Chairs are appointed by the Executive Council to oversee various functions and interests for the profession within the state. NATA District 1 Committee State Representatives act as liaisons between the state associations and the District 1 Committees. These positions may be held simultaneously where appropriate. Open positions
The following committee chair positions are available.
Ballots and Nominations Committee – Coordinates the electoral process for the Executive Board from collection of nominations to initiating voting procedures.
Conferences – oversees continuing education events for the NHATA. Will serve as liaison to the BOC to maintain the NHATA’s approved provider standing.
Governmental Affairs – Works with NHATA lobbyist and District 1 GAC to oversee the association’s governmental relations and regulatory efforts and advocates for regulation favorable to athletic training.
Social Media – manages NHATA’s social media presence on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter through timely and periodic postings.
The following committees are in need of members
Student Committee members – Work with the Student Committee chair in reviewing applications of scholarships, communications with the EATA student delegate and assist in the development of the NHATA Student Symposium
Young Professionals committee – support athletic trainers in the early stages of their career by fostering leadership, developing educational initiatives and promoting professional and ethical values. The committee addresses issues around transition to practice, creates opportunities to develop career skills and leadership development opportunities and foster professional networking and mentorship.
