NHATA EXECUTIVE COUNCIL POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

 

SECRETARY

 

Position Description: 7.3 Secretary. The Secretary shall supervise the keeping of the general records of the NHATA, including the minutes of semi-annual meetings and submit reports to the membership regarding the same at each semiannual meeting, and shall perform such other duties as usually pertain to that office or as shall from time to time be delegated by the President.

Secretary Term

The ballot for secretary is being conducted under special election, the candidate who receives the most votes for secretary will complete the remaining term of current Secretary Allison O’Connor Sutherland, whose term is set to expire December 31, 2022.  Term will begin as soon as on boarding can be completed following conclusion of the special election.

Per NHATA By-Laws: Term of Office, Re-election. The term of office of Secretary shall be two (2) years. The Secretary shall be elected in even numbered years. The Secretary may not serve more than two (2) consecutive terms, except that a Secretary who served a partial term as Secretary upon the resignation or removal of the previous Secretary, or upon vacancy occurring in the office of the Secretary for another reason, may serve two (2) consecutive full terms in addition to the partial term.

PRESIDENT-ELECT

 

Position Description: 7.2 President-Elect. The President-Elect shall act in the absence of the President, and shall perform such other duties as the NHATA Officers may prescribe.

President-Elect Term

The ballot for president-elect is being conducted as a special election.  The candidate who receives the most votes for president-elect will complete the remainder of the current position’s term through December 31, 2022 and then begin the full four year term January 1, 2023 with 2023-2024 as president-elect and 2025-2026 as president.  The term will begin as soon as on boarding can be completed following conclusion of election.

TREASURER

 

Position Description: 7.4 Treasurer. The Treasurer shall supervise all financial activities of the NHATA and submit reports to the membership regarding the same at each semiannual meeting, and shall perform such other duties as usually pertain to that Office or as shall from time to time be delegated by the President.

Treasurer Term

The ballot for the Treasurer position is in a standard voting year, with the winning candidate to assume the role of Treasurer beginning January 1, 2022.

Per NHATA By-Laws: The term of office of Treasurer shall be two (2) years. The Treasurer shall be elected in odd numbered years.
