Dr. Elana Bannerman
Dr. Elana Bannerman is a primary care physician and sports medicine specialist practicing at Primary Care of Hudson and Victory Sports Medicine. She is a graduate of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and holds a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine from the University of Massachusetts.

Learning Objectives
- Recall the diagnosis and treatment of common skin lesions in athletes
- Describe common skin lesions in athletes
- Identify differential diagnoses of common skin lesions in athletes
- Recognize the importance of sunscreen and the role of the ATC in helping prevent skin cancer
Cardiac Conditions in the Young Athlete
Domains: 1, 2, 3 and 4
Learning Objectives
- Identify and discuss common and not so common underlying cardiac conditions.
- Recognize implications these cardiac conditions have on physical activity and sports participation.
- Recognize when and to whom an individual should be referred.
- Implement current recommendations for working with an individual with an underlying cardiac condition that does not preclude them from sports participation.
